About Socialnoire

Socialnoire focuses on connecting and empowering professional minority women. We are most known for our sold out event, Speed Friending. This event uses the speed dating model - chatting for 3 minutes before rotating to the next chair - to allow women to pitch themselves on both a professional and personal level.

Who We Are Looking For

Interns or volunteers. Interns should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, public relations, women’s studies, or something similar.

Candidates should preferably live in the Washington, DC area and be willing to meet once a week either in person or through Google Hangouts.


Curator Internship/Volunteer

  • Find existing blog posts that can be added to daily curated blog

Compensation: This is an un-paid position. College/graduate credit is available, if applicable


Content Contributor Internship/Volunteer

  • Create blog posts that entertain, inform, and attract organic traffic to our websites.

Compensation: This is an un-paid position. College/graduate credit is available, if applicable


Sponsorship Coordinator
(1 opportunity)

  • Contact and follow up with potential sponsors
  • Ensure sponsors receive everything guaranteed in their package
  • Manage and maintain sponsorship outreach email list

Compensation: percentage of each sponsorship that they book. College/graduate credit is available, if applicable

 


Social Media/PR Internship
(1 opportunity)

  • Assist with developing social media strategy
  • Draft and deploy creative social media content
  • Manage social media advertisements
  • Engage audience and foster positive relationships between the brand and customers on social media
  • Create one-pager and event press releases
  • Develop PR contact outreach spreadsheet
  • Some graphic design work as necessary for content posting to social media platforms.

Compensation: This is an un-paid position. College/graduate credit is available, if applicable

 


Web Marketing Internship

  • Uploads content and keeps website up to date
  • Implements paid online marketing campaigns such as Banner ads, SEO, and etc
  • Develop approaches to increase web traffic.
